Sh*t I did in 2023

I know we’ve been in the new year for a while, but I haven’t been very in touch with the movement of the seasons. So, without further ado, and a bit of delay, here is a quick look at what the last year looked like for me in terms of art creation. I made a quick video to review the last year, maybe you would like to have a look.

I’ve been traveling around Mexico for the last three months (I was originally staying for one), and I’ve finally crossed the border to Guatemala.

It’s been beautiful and intense, and I’ve managed to make some art along the way. I want to share some of it with you, but while I’m sorting through all these vids and photos, I made this (extremely belated) 2023 review.

Let’s see this as a fashionably late update. So, without further ado, here’s some sh*t I did in 2023:

And the list goes on, with little projects here and there and some more commercial work I don’t really share on here. It’s a bunch of a lot, I sometimes think I should focus on a particular skill, but I also believe you are a more complete artist if you dabble on all things creative. For me that means drawing and painting and singing and baking and dancing and laughing and printing and teaching and learning and loving.

And to be honest, that makes you a more complete human being too.

All of this to say, I have no clue what I’m doing, but there are some really sweet moments in between the self doubt and fears. And I’m grateful to live a life in pursuit of art, in a lot of its shapes and forms.

If you attended a workshop, a concert, a fair, if you bought something, if you sent a word of love, if you shared my work, read an article I wrote, subscribed to my newsletter, if you told me something nice or bought me a cold drink while I sweated painting in the sun - thank you so much. I love making this stuff and I also love that I get to share it with you.

2023 had it’s challenges but I lived it fully. Bring it on 2024.
