Why a Newsletter?

I think we have all become disenchanted with social media. As users and also as creators. More and more I feel the need to create new spaces for sharing, and detach myself from these platforms which don’t have creators’ interest at heart. It feels bittersweet sharing here at times so I’ve decided to try something new:

I’m starting my own newsletter.

The first one is out and i would love for you to join us! If you like my work and are interested in the projects I’m working on, this is a way to follow more directly, connecting us not based on ever changing algorithms.

What it will be:

A bridge to connect me to you

A way to work against the monopoly that Instagram has on our sharing and receiving information

A direct way to know about future exhibitions, collaborations, shop updates

A way to keep updated without having to spend half our lives scrolling

A place to create community! We are all real people behind these screens and I want us all to feel that way

What it will include:

First look at print and merch drops

Early bird access to my workshops

Special discounts to my shop

Blog posts (working on this now and getting excited!)

Ilustrated process stories

Upcoming events and exhibitions

What it will not be

Another spam email to eventually unsubscribe to

I am still not sure this is the perfect tool to achieve what I want but I am happy to try it. I love to communicate what I create, and have been wanting more and more to build a solid audience outside of social media, so jump in… let’s build new ways of connecting.
